When Conor Macnamara’s business grew out of its original space in The English Market, he got hold of a bigger unit and came back to me for assistance. Again it was about efficient use of space, maximising ease of use during busy service. Having introduced a new seperate element to his offering; poké bowls, we had to look at the customer experience from start to finish; how to queue, how to order, menu visibility and clarity. Developing the visual identity further to take account of the new offering helped freshen up the brand. We used the old butcher rails to hang six A0 menu boards, which doubled up as screens for the messier back-of-house operations. Conor himself built the front counter out of a high quality plywood material he sourced from Germany tying in with the clean, modern aesthetic of the brand.
