Grainne Weber and I were introduced to each other way back by Paul Cadden of Saba Dublin.  I was looking to get in to commercial interior design and Paul said ‘you should meet my architect Grainne, she’s a bit mad, you’d get on great’. And so we did. Grainne took me on and gave me incredible experience in the world of commercial interior design.  We worked on hotels, bars, cafes and restaurants all around Ireland and the UK.

Later, when I had moved on to study architecture full time in Cork, Grainne continued to hire me for one-off projects on a contractual basis.  The House of St.Barnabas was one such exciting project; to design the interiors of a listed building on Soho Square for use as a (socially conscious) private members club.

Grainne continually threw me in at the deep end, instilling confidence along the way. Her style and attitude to everything she does continues to inspire my practice to this day.
